Roy Keane has poked fun at Harry Maguire after his impact in Man United ' victory against Athletic Bilbao in the initial match of their Europa League semi-final.
Manchester United defeated the Basque team 3-0 in Bilbao last Thursday, asserting their dominance in the match following a remarkable display. Among the standout performers was Maguire.
In addition to a solid defensive performance, Maguire contributed a moment of brilliance during the buildup play. Casemiro His opening goal left spectators amazed as he maneuvered deftly to evade his opponent and delivered a remarkable pass into the penalty area.
And, on the latest Stick To Football Podcast presented by Sky Bet , the panel was debating the performance of Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries against Barcelona , with Gary Neville asserting he wants United to secure the signing of the Dutch player.
Jill Scott Then stepped in and made a joke about United playing Maguire as a right-wingback following his performance in Bilbao, before Keane fired back.
' Oh relax, Jill," Keane said. "I know you’re just kidding around. It was Harry Maguire last week. Harry Maguire sent over the cross, and everybody’s saying ‘What incredible footwork.’

'He sent the ball across! With some skill, he performed a small shake before crossing it! Isn’t this worth every penny of his £80 million price tag? A player capable of delivering such crosses! Oh my goodness! All of you must be out of your minds!'
Even though the outcome was favorable, Keane persisted in voicing his dissatisfaction with Manchester United’s campaign and their apparent neglect of the Premier League in favor of concentrating on the Europa League.
'I’m simply tired of their performance,' Keane said. 'Their constant talk about an important match next week is irritating me; plus, they seem completely uninterested.'
'About two weeks ago in Newcastle, they mentioned "our concentration was affected as we have Lyon approaching," hence they continue dismissing these games.'
I realize it's a significant match, yet you simply overlook these league games? They are appalling, absolutely appalling.
Keane subsequently aimed his criticism at Bruno Fernandes, a player whom the outspoken commentator has frequently condemned in recent periods.
While Fernandes' quality has never been called into question by Keane, he has claimed the Portuguese is not suitable for the United captaincy, arguing he is not a 'fighter'.
As the panel talked about Fernandes' remarkable performance streak following Keane’s comments calling the attacking midfielder and his teammates "deceivers" post their 4-1 loss at Newcastle last month, he also directed another insult towards him.

' "They sure have been putting up impressive numbers for United this season, haven't they?" he remarked.
No, I've had enough of hearing about it. Bruno is certainly gifted as a player. However, skill alone doesn't cut it.
Meanwhile, speaking last month, Keane had said: 'Bruno does front up but it's kind of just soundbites now. There's no meaning to it. I don't know how we can listen to the United players' interviews anymore because I'm not sure if they're an honest group.
He continuously speaks about trusting his teammates, yet truly effective teammates hold one another accountable. These individuals aren’t genuine teammates; they are just bluffing.
When I watch Bruno play, an incredible player he is, I still wonder about his leadership skills. It seems like he isn’t receiving much support from those around him.
'Newcastle performed exceptionally well. It seems that United have become both physically and mentally fragile. Ruben Amorim must be puzzled. I wager he can hardly believe how poor this Manchester United side has turned out.'
Manchester United take on Athletic Bilbo in the second leg of their Europa League draw this evening, prior to hosting West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.
