Court Continues Cross-Examination of Complainant in Hockey Players' Sexual Assault Trial

Defense attorneys are anticipated to carry on with their questioning of the accuser later today during the sexual assault case involving five ice hockey players.
The identity of the woman remains protected due to a publication ban. During her cross-examination on Wednesday, she admitted that she adopted a "porno star persona" as a way to cope when she was in a hotel room with the men in June 2018.
The complainant stated that this was the position these men were trying to force her into, and she felt she couldn’t escape unless she complied with their demands.
Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dube, and Callan Foote have all stated they are not guilty of sexual assault charges.
McLeod has also pleaded not guilty to an additional charge of being a party to the offence of sexual assault.
All of the accused were part of Canada's 2018 world junior hockey team and were in London, Ont., for events marking their gold-medal performance at that year's championship.
The report from The Canadian Press was initially released on May 8, 2025.
